Training and Development Manager
The Training and Development Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to the organization’s employees, clients, and partners. They will lead the organization’s efforts to design, develop, and implement learning initiatives that align with business objectives. This role is responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all training programs, ensuring they support the growth and development of both internal and external clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement training programs and schedules.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions based on the organization’s needs.
- Adapt training content and delivery methods to suit different audiences, ensuring engagement and retention of knowledge.
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including venue booking, equipment setup, and participant communication.
- Create and update training materials, presentations, and handouts.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
- Identify training and development needs through surveys, interviews, and consultations with managers.
- Research, evaluate, and identify the need for a LMS platform to streamline and manage training and development initiatives
- Identify and research grant opportunities to secure funding for certified training programs within the swine industry.
- Collect and analyze feedback from training participants to assess program effectiveness.
- Prepare reports on training outcomes and participant performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future training initiatives.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify training needs.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in training and development.
- Continuously improve training delivery methods and content to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possess strong experience in audio, visual, and technology systems, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Must be flexible with work hours and open to potential overnight travel as needed.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the swine industry
