STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES
Carthage Veterinary Service, Ltd. offers opportunities to undergraduate and veterinary students to participate in our summer internship program. Students will be provided opportunity to conduct commercial research trials with a focus on swine nutrition, production, behavior, environmental, or economics Students will have the opportunity to learn new skills that enhances knowledge of the swine industry, standard farm practices, and veterinary medicine. Housing is provided in our campus dorms for summer interns.
Our externship program is open to all full-time veterinary students who have completed at least two full years of school and are studying veterinary medicine. Vet externships are guaranteed to provide hands-no experience in the swine industry, including access to experienced swine veterinarians and commercial swine facilities. Housing is provided in our campus dorms for veterinary externs.
The Co-op program allows eligible high school students an introduction to our company. The student will be given real word experience and responsibility with their co op job, and learn more about our company’s culture, values, and work environment.
We invite eligible students to join us for job shadowing opportunities to explore careers within the Swine and Agriculture industries. Our goal is to provide students with valuable hands-on experience as they are looking to make career decisions about their future.
